Richmond Community - Richmond Live

Richmond Live have been organising live music events in Richmond since the first "Richmond Live... at last!" outdoor concert in September 1998, and continue to bring live music and the live arts to the town whenever possible.
As well as raising money during the year for the free outdoor music festival in the summer, Richmond Live works with other groups and bodies to raise money for local charities.

The aims of the group are:
- To provide free live music to the people of the area in the form of a once yearly showcase of local talent and to organise other events throughout the year.
- To encourage and support the development of young bands and musicians in the area by providing a forum for creative expression.
- To forge links with other music groups across the country and participate in musical exchanges.
- To lend support to a campaign for a permanent music/arts venue and to forge links with other groups with similar aims.
Richmond Live Ltd. is a not-for-profit organisation, with all the members contributing time, services and expertise without remuneration. Members of the committee represent a large section of the local population, including Schools, Town Council, Local Business, and the General Public.

The FREE Richmond Live Outdoor Festival now plays an important part in the summer music festival season and attracts music lovers from all around the world.
